Together with our partner Pink Armour and the customer LRTA from Manila in the Philippines, we have successfully completed the factory acceptance test of a U423 road-rail rescue Unimog at our site in Gehrden, so that the vehicle can now go on the journey. The Unimog U423 is used as a road-rail rescue vehicle and reaches a top speed of 60kph on track via its friction wheel drive system. The first new generation road-rail catenary vehicle for our Swedish customer Infranord is ready for delivery. The vehicle was built on a Volvo FMX 6x4 chassis with a hydrostatic rail drive system for a max speed up to 70 km/h on track. The platform has a working height of 14m with a max. basket load of 500kg. In combination with the 2 wire positioners, this unit is a very compact multi-functional machine. 7 more units will follow in 2023...
