Design and production of road-rail vehicle innovations - The Hilton Group, with about 100 employees and two manufacturing locations in Gehrden (Germany) and Maastricht (NL) is constantly pushing the limits of road-rail technology creating new multifunctional machines for railway contractors around the world.

For our Czech customer Elektroline we recently delivered a OMF140T catenary vehicle based on a Mercedes Benz Arocs 3342K 6x4 chassis. The vehicle is equipped with 2 hydrostatic driven bogies and can drive up to 40 km/h on track. In order to tow wagons, the vehicle has a special wagon brake system to tow and safely brake loads up to 400t.

The highlight of the vehicle is the 3-part telescopic boom with a maximum working load of 500 kg, a max. outreach of 8.6 m and a working basket in L-shape design for working around the poles. The platform can be used to work in earthed mode on railway networks but can also be converted into isolated mode to work under live catenary on tram networks.

Besides the telescopic platform the vehicle has a Palfinger PFD79 wire positioner behind the cabin and a measuring pantograph on the cabin. Tools and other equipment can be stored in the equipment lockers or on the rear loading platform.
