Rail Cleaning Vehicles

Hilton delivers a wide range of solutions to groove and trackbed cleaning on tram networks. Our road-rail vehicles are equipped with special cleaning modules which are based on the famous Schörling technology. After the acquisition of Schörling Brock in 2009, Hilton has continued to improve the rail cleaning technology and is now able to offer the right solution for every requirement related to track cleaning. By combining our different modular systems we design tailor made solutions for the specific network requirements. Thanks to our long experience we have the know-how and experience to optimize our rail cleaning vehicles into the last detail to guarantee excellent cleaning results with highly reliable vehicles.

The extremely high suction power and cleaning performance make our vehicles the world-wide benchmark for road-rail cleaning vehicles. The robust design, use of high end components and complete in-house manufacturing results in vehicles which are recognized for their long life time and high availability. Hilton rail cleaning vehicles are easy to use with operator friendly control systems, easy maintenance and high reliability.
All vehicles are entirely designed and manufactured in-house. This enables us to control the entire process from engineering to manufacturing and final delivery. The high level of vertical in-house production allows important flexibility to design new innovative solutions for individual customer requirements.

For groove cleaning, the vehicles are equipped for example with steel scrapers, rotating brushes or 800bar high pressure water nozzles. This allows efficient cleaning of the rail groove and rail head. Often the vehicles are equipped with a combination of groove, railhead, trackbed and switch cleaning systems. All cleaning aggregates can be installed in a compact way mounted on the rail drive system between the axles of the chassis.

For cleaning of ballast or trackbed surfaces in between the rails, we can combine multiple suction shoes with high power ventilators with a suction capacity up to 25.000m³/h. These vehicles can be used for trackbed cleaning on tram networks as well as for metro cleaning.
